Cadmium Chromate Sealers

Metalline Chromate Top Coats and Sealers provide a barrier between the chromated cadmium metal and the corrosive environment.  The following products can increase the corrosion resistance of a chromate film by as much as 200 hours to 5% white salts:

• HI TEST™ SEAL #1 is a liquid non-chrome post treatment designed to enhance the corrosion resistance of chromated substrates. HI TEST™ SEAL #1 can be used at varying concentrations depending on the level of protection required.  With a high protection trivalent chromate over the appropriate zinc thickness, SEAL #1 can help provide over 1000 hours of salt spray protection to red rust.  HI TEST™ SEAL #1 will work in both rack and barrel operations over chromated zinc, cadmium and aluminum substrates.
• KORETARD^® 200 is a liquid non-chrome, non-silicated water based chemical coating designed to enhance the corrosion resistance of chromated substrates. KORETARD^® 200 can be used at varying concentrations depending on the level of protection required and will work in both rack and barrel operations over chromated zinc, cadmium and aluminum substrates.  Corrosion resistance can be dramatically improved using KORETARD^® 200 at higher concentrations, with salt spray protection increases up to 200 hours to 5% white corrosion per ASTM Standards.
