Brass and Copper Chromates (Hex)

Brass and Copper alloys will oxidize and tarnish unless a corrosion resistant barrier is applied to the finished metal surface.  A hexavalent chromate, like Metalline PD-20, will provide excellent corrosion resistance in the harshest environments. 

• PD-20 is a powdered chromate conversion coating designed to provide corrosion and tarnish resistance to brass, copper and silver alloys.  PD-20 is commonly used after plating copper, brass and silver deposits as well as after bright dipping copper and brass alloys.
